School History

Shivaji English Medium School was established in the year 1991, by Hon’ble Shri Chandukaka Jagtap in Saswad. He planted the seed of ‘Shri Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Saswad’ in the year 1988, which has now branched into a huge tree of 18 High schools, 5 Jr. Colleges, 4 Pre-Primary & 4 Primary schools, and  B. Ed College, in remote villages in Purandar, Wai and Haveli Talukas.

Honarable Chandukaka Jagtap has adopted Shivaji English Medium School about seven years ago and took personal interest in the growth and developement of the School.

The Management committee of Shri Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal consists of eminent personalities who have proved to be the pillars of strength and guiding factors behind all school activities. Hon. Anandi Kaki Jagtap, the President of Shri Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Hon. Mr. Rajendra Jagtap (I.A.S.), the honorary advisor, and Hon. Mr. Sanjay Jagtap, the Secretary, Shri D.N. Gawali, the Joint Secretary of the Sanstha have a lion’s share in the all round development of the school, and are great guiding forces for the school.

The school was started with 16 students in Sopan Nagar (HUDCO), Saswad. In 2004, the school has shifted into a grand building in Trishul Society, Saswad. Today, the school has more than 2000 students.

The Academic year 2015-16 will always be cherished as the Silver Jubilee year of the school.

2015 is also the year when the school branched off into a CBSE school also and the year 2017 saw a new building coming up for the Pre – Primary school, with a beautiful architectural insight and a perfect set up for the tiny tots to enjoy their learning.

Academics

  • The school is recognized by the Govt. of Maharashtra and follows the syllabus of Maharashtra State.
  • The medium of instruction is English.
  • The academic performance for the complete year is taken into consideration for promotion.
  • The rules and regulations for promotion as formed by the State Education Department are followed.
  • The school has consistently given 100% result in S.S.C since the first batch of S.S.C. passed out in the same year that students also secured several distinctions in all subjects.
  • In the past few years, all students have passed the SSC exam in first class.
  • H.S.C. SCIENCE result has been 100% since 2011.
  • NEET/ JEE classes are taken in SHRI SHIVAJI ACADEMY, with the purpose of preparing students to compete in life without their having to step out of Purandar, and at minimal cost.
